They’ve been trying out lots of different instruments! They’ve practising making loud and soft sounds on the drums and tambourines, as well as trying out the xylophone…
It is great development for their motor skills, and great fun too!
Flying Start Nurseries Are Named In Top 15 Nurseries In Cornwall!!!
We are delighted to announce that FIVE OF OUR NURSERIES HAVE BEEN NAMED IN THE TOP 15 NURSERIES IN CORNWALL!!!
Our nurseries in Camborne, Cornwall College at Pool, Saltash, Duchy College @ Rosewarne, and Redruth all earned spots in the top 15!!!
And especially huge congratulations to Flying Start @ Camborne, who were crowned in 4th place for the whole of the county, with an incredible score of 9.8 out of 10!!!
This is all thanks to your wonderful reviews celebrating your nursery, and the members of staff that are giving your child a Flying Start!!

Flying Start Annual Staff Training Day!
Thank you to all of our parents for your patience with the annual staff training day on Monday 27th March – as a company, we really value the opportunity to bring all of our staff together & develop new skills as childcare professionals!
Take a look at these great photos of all of our wonderful staff competing in the ‘Grand Team Challenge’ on the astroturf!
It was hotly contested by Marjon and Redruth staff teams, but in the end the Cornwall College team were victorious!!!
Some of our staff did training workshops on Forest School and outdoor learning… this is something we’re really passionate about at Flying Start!
Another great highlight from our annual company Training Day, was ‘The Tinkering Workshop’ where staff were introduced to new award-winning woodwork kits for young children!!
The creators of the product came all the way to our training day to give the workshops, and teach staff how to use these great new kits… Our staff are now all very excited to roll this out with the children across our nurseries!!
Our cooks from every nursery were challenged to make a cream tea for over 100 members of staff… and excelled with a huge delicious spread!!
And at the end of the day, we had our much awaited annual awards…

Thank you to all our staff for their enthusiasm and dedication to constantly improving their skillsets as education professionals, and thank you to all of our parents for their patience with our nursery closure!
