Flying Start @ Helston Graded GOOD In All Areas By Ofsted!
We are delighted to announce that Flying Start @ Helston were awarded good in all areas of their Ofsted inspection!
Here are some of the highlights that we wanted to share with you all from the inspection report:
🌟 Parents communication with staff is excellent – they know what their children are learning and are very pleased with their progress!
🌟 Staff plan an interesting range of activities that are based on children’s interests and what they need to learn next. Children explore, discover and test out their ideas!
🌟 Children’s behaviour is very good – staff help children learn to share and take turns and be kind to their friends!
🌟 The staff team were praised for being skilled at promoting children’s communication and language development, and for being enthusiastic and joining in with the children’s play!
🌟 Staff were also celebrated for responding quickly to children’s needs, and helping to develop their confidence!

Flying Start @ Saltash Do Large-Scale Garden Art!
This week, the pre-school children at Flying Start @ Saltash have been doing some large-scale art in the garden!
They have been making the most of the blue skies, and getting creative outdoors!
They have used sticks that they collected at forest school to mix and paint with!
What great play and creativity!
Flying Start @ Helston Do Role Play Camping!
Lots of the children at Flying Start @ Helston have been talking all about how they are going camping in the summer, so the nursery team decided to make a campfire role play in the garden!
They have made a tent and filled it with pillows and books about camping, a pretend fire with to toast marshmallows over…
…camping chairs, and some utensils for the children to ‘cook’ their dinner on!
The children from across all ages at the nursery have been really enjoying going camping in the nursery garden!
Flying Start @ Helston Pre-Schoolers Cool Off In Paddling Pool!
The pre-schoolers at Flying Start @ Helston have been cooling down in this hot summer weather by going for a dip!
They took off their shoes and socks and went for a splash in the paddling pool, that the nursery team set up in the garden with refreshing cold water in it!
This led on to a conversation about beach safety and how we should be very careful when going swimming in the sea.
Flying Start @ Duchy Do Group Story Writing!
The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Duchy have been having a go at coming up with their own stories in a big group!
Firstly, the keyworker started the story off and each child went one after the other and came up with what happens next!
The children each drew their own picture about what happens next to illustrate their story too!
The children concentrated so well doing this activity and they have been really enjoying making their own stories up!
