Flying Start @ Helston  Are Ready For Summer!

The children at Flying Start @ Helston have been enjoying the lovely weather recently, with lots of summer activities! But first they’ve been getting prepared..

The toddlers have been practicing their independence skills, specifically learning to apply their own sun-cream, with careful supervision from staff, to ensure they all understand the importance of good sun safety in this summer weather!

Meanwhile in pre-school, the children have been brushing up on their technology skills… And because no summer holiday is complete without a camera, they have been testing out their photography skills!

They have been turning on the camera, taking photos with it, and then using the playback feature to view their images… Looking snappy guys!

Flying Start @ Saltash Enjoy Fun In The Garden!

The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Saltash have been out enjoying lots of fun activities in the garden, enjoying the fine summer days!

They have been practising their balancing skills by walking the plank and doing obstacles…

They’ve been sorting the coloured rings in a big game of connect four…

And making mud pies in the outdoor kitchen!

Wow, what a lot of fun in the garden at Flying Start @ Saltash!

Flying Start @ Redruth Pre-School Welcome New ‘Garden’ Theme!

At Flying Start @ Redruth, the pre-school department have started exploring their new theme of ‘the garden’ for this half term…

They have an exciting new maths area, where they will be focusing on measuring the growth of their own flowers and vegetables in their nursery garden, as well as making their very own growth charts and looking at what plants need to grow!

The staff have also made their own garden shop role-play area, which the children are already loving playing in! They are taking in turns to play the roles of shopkeeper and customers, with some real coins, as well as real fruit and veg!

It’s looking like a wonderful set up to learn a lot about growing fruit & veg in the garden, and being healthy!

Flying Start @ Helston Enjoy Outdoor Fun!

The toddlers and pre-school at Flying Start @ Helston have been making the most of the lovely weather, and having lots of outdoor fun!

They went on a trip to the boating lake, to feed the ducks some bread, which was fun! The children love seeing the ducks, and listening to the noises they make when they get fed!

Then the toddlers and pre-schools have been practising lots for their sports day…

They’ve been doing lots of hula hooping, and practising their races with bean bags!

What great ways to be active & enjoy the blue skies!
