Flying Start @ Camborne Have Garden-Themed Stay & Play With Parents!
The staff at Flying Start @ Camborne were delighted to welcome lots of parents into the nursery, to join them for a stay & play session!
Despite the rainy weather, the parents and children got to enjoy lots of exciting garden-themed activities indoors out of the rain…
The parents and children joined in with pebble painting, twig mark making, tin-can cooking, and potion making!!
All the parents had a lovely afternoon, and the children were very excited to play with their parents at nursery!

Flying Start @ Helston Toddlers Measure Their Heights!
The toddlers at Flying Start @ Helston have been measuring their heights, and comparing how tall they are with their friends, on their flower height chart on the wall!
Each child waited their turn to be measured, and got excited to compare who was the tallest out of all of the children!
The children loved having their height taken and marked on the chart… and they can’t wait to compare in a few weeks, and see if any of them have grown!
Flying Start @ Duchy Do Woodwork!
Flying Start @ Duchy have been trying out their new Tinkering Kids woodwork sets!
Under supervision, the pre-schoolers have been creating shapes in the wood using special woodwork tools for children…
They listened to instructions really carefully and all had an amazing time trying out this exciting equipment, and improving their fine motor skills!
Flying Start @ Helston Talk About Their Feelings For Mental Health Awareness Week!
Flying Start @ Helston have been thinking all about their feelings as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.
The children laid down on their bellies, and wrote or drew things that make them happy in bright coloured pens, and things that make them feel worried or sad in dark coloured pens.
Then the staff and the children chatted about what we can do if we feel worried or sad – and all the children said that a hug was their favourite solution.

Flying Start @ Saltash Do Junk Modelling!
The children at Flying Start @ Saltash have been doing some junk modelling…
The children carefully selected their pots and tubs, and with the colourful threads provided, they made SPIDERS!
They used lots of skill and concentration to thread the legs through, and even added eyes!
