Flying Start @ Marjon Toddlers Build Big Structures!
The toddlers at Flying Start @ Marjon have been busy exploring loose part play…
They have been using pipes and planks of wood to build houses for the sea animals in the story they are reading, ‘Commotion in the Ocean’!
They’ve built some amazing structures, being careful to make sure they balance, and stacking them as high as they can with some help!
What great exploring and play!
Flying Start @ Marjon Explore Campus Library!
Our Flying Start @ Marjon pre-school and toddler children were delighted to visit the library on the Marjon campus!
They really enjoyed reading the storybooks, and relaxing on the big bean bags!
The nursery love going for walks on campus, and making the most of the exciting facilities around them on the University campus!
Flying Start @ Marjon Grow & Pick Vegetables!
The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Marjon have been searching in the nursery garden vegetable patch to see what has been growing…
Pre-school and toddlers take in turns watering the plants every day!
The children were excited to find that the courgettes had grown really well so with the support of the nursery staff, they picked them and then chopped them up and they were cooked in our lunch!
Great work growing your very own healthy, fresh vegetables!

Flying Start @ Marjon Pre-School Do Gardening Club!
The pre-schoolers at Flying Start @ Marjon have been putting their sunhats and sun cream on, and getting out in the lovely weather doing some gardening!
The pre-schoolers have all been working together to put soil in the tyres to make planters, and planting bulbs!
And as you can see from the photos, the children got very stuck in and enjoyed their gardening!
And a great way to spend hours out in the lovely Marjon garden as well!
Flying Start @ Marjon Do Pre-School Sensory Walk!
The pre-school department at Flying Start @ Marjon have been exploring sensory play with a fun game out in the garden…
With lots of trays of different substances and materials in them, set out in a line, the children went barefoot and walked through them!
They made lots of reactions to all the different sensations and textures, and had lots of chats about how it felt afterwards, and what they could see, feel and smell!
What a great sensory challenge!
