Flying Start @ Marjon Do Firework Paintings!
The children at Flying Start @ Marjon have been talking about the fireworks that some of them saw with their families on Bonfire Night…
Then they used special scrubbers to create different patterns and some different colours to showcase the colourful and sparkly fireworks going off in the sky!
Look at these wonderful pieces of art – well done Marjon!
Flying Start @ Marjon Explore Pumpkin Activities For Halloween!
The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Marjon have all been having a go at carving out special mini pumpkins, with special adult supervision, for Halloween…
The children were completely fascinated by the seeds within the goop inside the pumpkins, and so they decided it was a great idea to plant the seeds! The children independently planted the seeds into their very own made up gardens using plastic cups.
Once they had completely emptied out the pumpkins, then then did a science experiment with them! They put bicarbonate of soda and vinegar together and the children watched the pumpkins fizzle!!
Fizzling, sizzling, halloween fun!
Flying Start @ Marjon Host An Amazing Parents Event In The Garden!
Flying Start @ Marjon had a huge turnout of parents and grandparents for their outdoors event!
They took part in lots of brilliant activities put on by the nursery team!
Firstly, they did hessian bashing…
made sticky autumn pictures…
…and made spiders webs!
Then they went to the forest for some forest school fun…
They created big-scale art, made birds nests, and crafted faces out of clay, and they finished off by completing some tin can cooking as well!
Lots of great fun and learning had by all – and an amazing chance for parents & grandparents to see some of the brilliant Forest School learning that goes on at our nurseries!
Flying Start @ Marjon Develop Their Creative Skills!
Over the last couple of weeks, the children at Flying Start @ Marjon have been developing their creative skills across the setting!
Firstly, the children have been creating some large scale leaf printing, making marks in flour and some bubble wrap painting!
The children loved using their whole bodies to make their artwork and being able to really express themselves!
And now, they have then all been joining in to make a tree for their display!
The creativity is flowing at Flying Start @ Marjon!
