The Toddlers and Preschool children @ Flying Start Marjon enjoyed a wonderful time exploring together in the forest.
They investigated the flowers, moved logs to discover bugs, climbed up and down steps, and played hide and seek with their friends.
Flying Start @ Marjon Get Creative with Mark Making
The Preschool children @ Flying Start Marjon have been busy exploring different ways to mark make. We experimented with blowing bubbles and painting with ice. We had great fun getting creative with mixing the colours along the way!
Flying Start @ Marjon- Babies explore lunch with their senses
The Babies @ Flying Start Marjon enjoyed discovering the ingredients from our lunch: pasta, garlic, butter, and thyme.
The children used their senses to investigate the food by smelling the garlic, tasting the pasta, and feeling the butter. They practised their fine motor skills by squeezing, scooping, and pinching the pasta and herbs.
They had a great time getting messy and then splashing their hands and feet in water to tidy up!
Flying Start @ Marjon Explore the Woods
Some of the preschool and toddler children @ Flying Start Marjon went to the forest on a nature treasure hunt not only did they find pine cones and sticks but they also found antlers!
This has lead to lots of discussion and the children have been excited to learn about deer.
Flying Start @ Marjon Enjoy Storytelling
The children in the forest hut have been enjoying sharing their favourite stories with each other!
They have brought in books from home and enjoyed small group story time. They then created activities themed around the story.
Flying Start @ MArjon Create Spider Webs
This week, at Marjon we have been exploring the garden. While outside, the children spotted a spider and its web high up in the tree. So, the children investigated the web with the help of an adult.
Once they had finished examining the web, the children made their very own web to take home.
Flying Start @ Marjon Explore the Texture of Pumpkins
At Marjon, the toddlers have been exploring pumpkins of various sizes.
We have examined both the exterior and interior of the pumpkins. The children were amazed to discover what was inside; we found seeds and pulp.
The children couldn’t wait to explore further, using a spoon or, if they were brave, their hands to delve inside.
Flying Start @ Marjon Make a Volcano
This week we have been exploring a story all about volcano’s and have been re creating them in our sensory tray.
The children have loved watching it erupt and have even looked at videos online too.
