Flying Start @ Redruth Make Apple Crumble

Our Apple orchard has grown SO many Apples. To make use of all of our delicious apples, we asked the Pre-School children what we should make with them & they chose to make…. Apple crumble! After picking lots of apples we checked our wild garden to see if there were any Blackberries to add to our crumble. It was such a nice day that we decided to chop our apples in the garden then finish making the rest of the crumble inside. The children got to take a little pot of crumble home to enjoy as a sweet treat after their dinner (after a little taste test at nursery of course!).

Flying Start @ Redruth Meet Fire Fighters

On Monday we had a very special invite from one of our parents, who runs mini mess makers, to join them at the local rugby club to meet some firefighters! During their trip the children got to sit in the fire engine, look at the hose spraying water & speak to the fire fighters. They even got to listen to the siren which we all agreed was very loud! When back at Nursery we carried on our learning and learnt some fire safety & even had a practice fire-drill.
