This week in Preschool we have been exploring different ways to make marks, we collected objects from around the garden and found different ways to make marks such as printing, scratching, and rolling.
Flying Start @ Redruth Autumn Stay
We had a wonderful autumn stay and play this week. The babies and toddlers enjoyed decorating Halloween biscuits, making green potions, pumpkin print painting and some autumn themed playdough. Thank you for joining us 😊
Flying Start @ Redruth Cooking Club Safety
During circle time we asked to children about what they would like to make in cooking club, one of the children suggested Koftas. Following this suggestion from the children and supporting our learning on safety, we talked about why we have to wash our hands before and after handling food especially with raw meat.
Flying Start @ Redruth Flora’s Mini Explorers
This week all the children have begun our exciting new ‘Flora’s mini explorers’ outdoor education programme. They went on an Autumnal scavenger hunt around our garden! The younger children were able to explore the textures and colours of the leaf’s they had found, and the older children had a go at drawing maps to lead their friends to the Autumn treasure.
Flying Start @ Redruth Mini Mud Kitchen
Day Nursery @ Flying Start Redruth have been in the garden investigating their mini mud kitchen! In their mud kitchen they had some home-grown carrots, flowers, and herbs. They were able to mash, grind and smash whilst experimenting with the pestle & mortars!
Flying Start @ Redruth Small World Area
Look at our amazing small world area in our pre-school room! The children have had so much fun exploring this new area & finding different ways to use it. Today they have been combining the construction resources and animals to create a boat for the animals!
Flying Start @ Redruth Baby Forest
We’ve been getting creative in the baby forest this week with transient art, mark making with natural resources and of course our absolute favourite thing WATER! Look at how much fun we have had.
Flying Start @ Redruth Forest School
Preschool at Redruth was able to enjoy Forest School at Tehidy woods last week. We fed the ducks some porridge oats, jumped in muddy puddles, climbed logs, and collected natural resources to make nature masks back at nursery. What a fun morning!
Flying Start @ Redruth Baby Forest School
Look at how confident we are at balancing now! During Flying Start @ Redruth’s Day Nursery’s Forest school sessions, the children have persisted with trying to balance on the rope and look at how well they can do it now.
